About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Lifestyle Assistant to join our team at VMCH. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with residents to identify strategies and opportunities that maximise engagement and promote healthy lifestyle practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with residents to develop and implement individualised care plans that promote independence and healthy lifestyle practices.
  • Organise and deliver activities that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our residents, including those living with dementia.
  • Assess and review resident's leisure and health needs, and develop strategies to promote engagement and participation.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure a positive and supportive environment that fosters resident well-being.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a similar role in an aged care setting.
  • Certificate III in Leisure and Health or equivalent.
  • Current First Aid Certificate.
  • Previous experience working in an aged care facility.
  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently, with a strong focus on resident-centred care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Well-developed prioritisation and organisational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
