Role Overview

This position supports the execution and planning teams in ensuring safe and cost-effective maintenance by providing governance over work management standards and departmental guidelines.

The role is responsible for driving long-term improvements in fleet performance, promoting a safe and engaging workplace, and achieving mining fleet metrics in line with the mine plan.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting front-line leaders, execution, and planning teams to achieve optimal maintenance execution.
  • Providing support and assistance to supervisors and leaders in meeting daily metrics.
  • Planning maintenance to ensure team success.
  • Driving elimination of live work and initiatives to improve maintenance efficiency.
  • Mobilising service contractors to support maintenance activities.
  • Assisting in the management and site preparation of incoming heavy mobile equipment/specialised mobile equipment fleets and on-site shuts.
  • Managing a small team of OEM specialists and labour.
  • Adapting to innovative technologies as part of the green fleet transition and decarbonisation plans.
  • Ensuring adherence to site fleet management strategy.
  • Promoting a positive influence at all levels.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Trade qualification - HD fitter/auto electrician.
  • Proven experience in heavy mobile equipment maintenance and overseeing safe maintenance activities.
  • Strong leadership experience.
  • Proficient in excel, SAP, Anaplan, and word.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Work management and planning experience preferred but can be learned on the job.
