Aircraft Maintenance Specialist

Job Overview:

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and assist licensed maintenance professionals in performing routine tasks under supervision.
  • Contribute to aircraft maintenance activities in accordance with approved standards and guidelines, working under the guidance of experienced engineers.
  • Report any significant defects or anomalies to the supervising team leader.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives by contributing suggestions or supporting implementation as directed.

Primary Tasks and Duties:

  • Organize and complete assigned maintenance tasks efficiently and effectively, under the supervision of senior technicians and engineers.
  • Develop and apply technical knowledge to assist in troubleshooting and resolving mechanical or electrical issues.
  • Collaborate with colleagues within the maintenance team, following instructions from senior staff members.
  • Assist in investigations of incidents or maintenance issues, contributing to the implementation of corrective actions where necessary.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines provided by supervisors and team leaders at all times.
  • Attend scheduled training sessions to familiarize themselves with company procedures and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • Certificate IV in Aeroskills or equivalent qualification.
  • At least 5 years' experience in Mechanical maintenance within a Line or Base environment.
  • Experience working within a Safety Management System framework.
  • Effective communication skills for interaction at various levels.
  • Proven organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Basic computer literacy skills.
  • Customer-focused approach.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks, including PART 145.
  • Resourceful and lateral thinking skills.
