We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Trades Assistant to join our team at Komatsu Australia. As a key member of our service team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and effective operation of our warehouse and store.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure all aspects of the Parts supply process are performed efficiently and effectively.
  • Inspect all inwards goods to ensure accuracy of received stock quantities and report any damage to the immediate supervisor.
  • Maintain tooling and asset compliance.
  • Ensure maintenance and repairs of workshop tooling and assets are kept to a high standard.
  • Dispatch and receive tooling efficiently and effectively.
  • Manage the purchasing of consumables and PPE with a balanced focus on cost and quality.
  • Assist the workshop team in facilitating audits and remediation.
  • Assist with local pick-ups as required.
  • Provide trade technical assistance as needed.
  • Accurately receipt and store all stock.
  • Pick, pack, dispatch, and record shipments of parts and goods.
  • Securely pack parts and goods to prevent damage in transit.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy warehouse environment.
  • Assist with cyclical and full stock takes.
  • Ensure all required paperwork is completed and filed correctly.
  • Liaise with transport companies to arrange cost-effective delivery of parts.
  • Process returned items and issue credits as necessary.
  • Advise supervisors of any issues or concerns regarding incorrectly identified goods, damaged parts, or tooling.
  • Develop a thorough knowledge of our computerized Inventory Controls System.
  • Provide exceptional customer service both internally and externally.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in store and warehouse operations or a similar environment.
  • Understanding of Inventory Management Systems and principles.
  • Ability to work as an active team member and without supervision.
  • Flexibility to work the hours required to meet business needs.
  • Current car and forklift driver's licenses.
  • Current Doggers and/or Crane licenses.
  • Commitment to Occupational Health, Safety, and Environment compliance.
  • Experience working with set performance measures and defined KPIs.
