Job Opportunity: Trades Assistant/Store Person

At Komatsu Australia, we're committed to creating value together. We're seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Trades Assistant/Store Person to join our team at Wacol.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure efficient and effective parts supply process through diligent inspection of inwards goods and accurate reporting of any damage.
  • Maintain tooling and asset compliance, ensuring high standards of maintenance and repairs.
  • Manage the purchasing of consumables and PPE, balancing cost and quality of goods.
  • Assist the workshop team in facilitating audits and remediation, as well as providing trade technical assistance.
  • Accurately receipt and store stock, and efficiently pick, pack, and dispatch shipments of parts and goods.
  • Securely pack parts and goods to prevent damage in transit, and maintain a clean and tidy warehouse.
  • Assist with cyclical and full stock takes, and ensure all required paperwork is completed and filed correctly.
  • Liaise with transport companies to arrange cost-effective delivery of parts, and advise supervisors of any issues or concerns.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring all customer parts orders are processed in a timely manner.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in store and warehouse operation or a similar environment in the construction or mining equipment industry.
  • Understanding of inventory management systems and principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as an active team member and without supervision.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Flexibility to work the hours required to meet the needs of the business.
  • Current car and forklift driver's licenses, and current dogger's and/or crane licenses.
  • Commitment to the principles of occupational health, safety, and environment compliance.
  • Experience working with set performance measures and defined KPIs.
