About the Role
The Chief Radiographer is a key leadership position responsible for the day-to-day clinical and operational management of Imaging services provided by Radiographers and Sonographers across Flinders Medical Centre. This includes coordinating the maintenance of professional standards, developing and implementing imaging services and programs, and identifying opportunities for improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Radiography team in providing high-quality imaging services to patients
- Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and patient satisfaction
- Collaborate with the Campus Operations Manager to develop and implement imaging services and programs
- Provide frontline clinical services to one of the specialty modalities, with a clinical workload of 40% over a 12-month period
- Contribute to the development of staff through coordinating department-wide training programs
- Monitor, review, and advise on alternative methods to ensure operational standards are met
- Undertake human resources management functions for staff assigned, including management of performance assessment and career planning
