About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Aircrew Training Specialist located in East Sale, Victoria. As a PC-21 Flight Instructor, you will conduct Pilot Training System (PTS) Program events, including ground school and training device instruction. You will be a Subject Matter Expert in ab initio pilot instruction, providing courseware content development and instructor guide material support.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Carry out instructional duties to support ab initio student training as a Contractor Instructor Pilot – Simulator (CIP-S).
  • Apply advanced technical principles, techniques, theories, and concepts to solutions, practice, and training.
  • Provide student assistance, questions, and missions when not scheduled for formal academic instruction, aircrew training device instruction, or courseware development and revisions.
  • Conduct quality aircrew training instruction to deliver prescribed training objectives and mission guide requirements.
  • Review flying literature, safety reports, Service publications, and courseware currency.

Your Qualifications:

  • Previously held Category C Qualified Flying Instructor (QFI)/Operational Flying Instructor (OFI)/Fighter Combat Instructor (FCI) (or ADF recognised equivalent).
  • Completed an ADF Flying Instructor Course or a recognised equivalent course.
  • Must be able to continue to satisfy the requirements for ADF Qualified Flying Instructor (QFI) Category C (minimum) Qualification per applicable Defence Orders, Instructions, and Publications (OIP).
  • Extensive knowledge in pilot training design and training device(s) operating skill.
  • Meet medical criteria: PC-21 Pilot anthropometric criteria, ADF high performance (ejection seat) pilot medical.
