Job Opportunity:
The Assistant Director Provider Engagement is a key leadership role within a Federal Government organization. It involves providing direction, control, planning, resource management, performance management, and decision-making for staff working within assigned work areas.
The position requires engaging in complex problem-solving and issues management within functions. It also involves sound decision-making and judgment to produce high-level policy advice and operational support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engaging with key stakeholders including other Federal Government departments, State and Local Government, providers, carers, people with disability, and mainstream organizations to address market challenges.
- Developing market capability and capacity to ensure the support needs of participants are met.
- Supporting the development and promotion of resources that enable market development and improving the organization's understanding of the market environment and provider experience, market conditions, and challenges.
- Acting as a contact for key providers while supporting provider market and NDIS provider processes and representing the organization in discussions with providers, provider peak bodies, and industry stakeholders.
- Supporting the development and utilization of channels to maintain knowledge of policies, processes, and market strategies.
- Supporting information sharing activities with key internal stakeholders including national office portfolios (markets, operations, and communications) and other business areas.
- Implementing and supporting national engagement strategies intended to develop market and provider maturity.
- Preparing and reviewing briefs, papers, reports, QoN's, QTB's, TP's, and complaint responses.
Essential Requirements:
- Highly developed verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work with competing priorities.
- Problem solving with evidence of critical thinking, decision making, and information processing.
- Stakeholder collaboration and engagement.
- Adaptability.
- Previous experience in the Disability, Health, Aged Care, or Not for Profit sectors would be highly desirable.
- Understanding of the aged care interface.
- Previous engagement experience.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
