Job Title: Director of Student Wellbeing

The Director of Student Wellbeing plays a pivotal role in fostering a culture of respect, safety, and inclusivity within our school community. This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating wellbeing strategies, policies, and processes to support student engagement and preparedness for learning.

As a key member of our leadership team, the Director of Student Wellbeing will work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and families to identify and address the needs of students, particularly those at risk. This may involve working with students, staff, and families to develop and implement individualized support plans, as well as providing professional development opportunities for teachers to enhance their skills in supporting student wellbeing.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the importance of wellbeing in education and a proven track record of developing and implementing effective wellbeing strategies. They will be an excellent communicator, able to build strong relationships with students, staff, and families, and will be committed to creating a positive and inclusive school culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement wellbeing strategies, policies, and processes to support student engagement and preparedness for learning
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and families to identify and address the needs of students, particularly those at risk
  • Develop and implement individualized support plans for students
  • Provide professional development opportunities for teachers to enhance their skills in supporting student wellbeing
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of wellbeing strategies and make recommendations for improvement
