Job Title: Director of Student Wellbeing

MacKillop Catholic Regional College is seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to fill the role of Director of Student Wellbeing. This position plays a pivotal role in fostering a safe and respectful environment for students, staff, and families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the team of Directors of Wellbeing to develop, implement, and evaluate wellbeing strategies, policies, and processes.
  • Support Year Level Leaders in identifying students at risk and implementing interventions to address concerns related to behaviour, attendance, participation, accountability, and self-regulation.
  • Act as a mentor for staff and students, articulating the College's expectations and championing the restorative process between students, staff, and families.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with students, staff, and families to promote a culture of respect and inclusivity.
Requirements:
  • Ability to cultivate respectful relationships between students, staff, and families.
  • Demonstrated ability to build the capacity of teachers to address wellbeing matters.
  • Ability to implement resolution and restorative processes.
  • Outstanding communication skills, with a particular focus on displaying empathy.
