We are seeking a dedicated Stakeholder Engagement Specialist to join our team based in Canberra.

About the Role

The successful candidate will lead and support various stakeholder engagement activities, developing strong relationships with landowners, local communities, and key stakeholders.

  • Organising and attending community and stakeholder engagement events
  • Liaising with landowners for property access, including door-knocking
  • Preparing communications materials and managing public notifications
  • Ensuring stakeholders remain informed about upcoming works and activities
  • Maintaining stakeholder databases and tracking tools (e.g., EOI spreadsheets)
  • Responding to enquiries and resolving concerns with professionalism and empathy

As part of a collaborative, experienced team, you will work closely with both internal teams and clients. Some travel may be required.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a dynamic, stakeholder-focused environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Hands-on experience in community engagement, ideally within telecommunications or infrastructure
  • Confidence working in politically or socially sensitive settings
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • A proactive, solutions-oriented approach
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
  • A valid Class C Driver's Licence
  • Willingness to travel as needed
