Subsea Structure Design Engineer

As a skilled and innovative Subsea Structure Design Engineer, you will be responsible for working on various technically challenging projects. Your ability to perform analytical work, combined with excellent written and verbal communication skills, will enable you to thrive in our fast-paced environment.

The Role Overview

In this role, you will have the opportunity to design subsea structures, riser systems or components from concept through to detailed design level. You will also analyze subsea structures, riser systems or components using state-of-the-art commercial and in-house software.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform design activities including calculations, dynamic structural analysis and system configuration for subsea structures.
  • Ensure acceptable structural and fatigue performance of designs, considering functional, fabrication, installation and in-service requirements.
  • Communicate technical results and conclusions to team members and clients through meetings, presentations and written reports.

We use various software packages, including Flexcom, Orcaflex, SACS, Ansys, and Solidworks. As a Subsea Structure Design Engineer, you will be expected to:

  • Design subsea structures, riser systems or components from concept through to detailed design level.
  • Analyze subsea structures, riser systems or components using state-of-the-art commercial and in-house software.
  • Prepare proposals and technical deliverables, including reports.
  • Interface with clients through technical presentations and meetings.

You will work independently and within teams, supported by stakeholders, to develop strong technical relationships with clients and contribute to the continuous development of our engineering capabilities and reputation.

Requirements
  • Eligibility to work in Australia (work visa or citizenship).
  • 1-2 years of engineering experience.
  • Undergraduate degree in engineering, mathematics, physics or similar.
  • Aptitude and enthusiasm for carrying out analytical work efficiently.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, and planning and organization skills.
