About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Designer to join our team at Apparent Communications. As a Senior Designer, you will play a key role in shaping the visual identity of our clients and driving the creative direction of our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement design concepts that meet and exceed client expectations
  • Lead and mentor junior designers to ensure high-quality output and consistent design standards
  • Collaborate with writers and strategists to create idea-led designs that drive business results
  • Manage and direct specialist creatives, including illustrators, animators, and photographers
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve design skills and knowledge
Requirements
  • 4+ years of design experience in a creative agency or design studio with a relevant tertiary degree
  • Strong graphic and brand design fundamentals
  • Experience managing or mentoring designers
  • Strong creative, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Positive, flexible, self-motivated attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt
Preferred Skills
  • Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite applications, including Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign
  • Familiarity with Figma and other design tools
  • Sound experience in motion graphics and animation
  • Ancillary skills such as 3D, illustration, or animation
