Job Title: Field Technician

We are seeking a skilled Field Technician to join our team at Lockheed Martin. As a Field Technician, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of Ground-Based Training Simulators (GBTS) and Flight Training Devices (FTD).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, test, and repair electronic equipment according to technical manuals or verbal instructions.
  • Perform hand soldering of surface mount components to a high standard.
  • Assist in investigations into non-standard technical problems to ensure simulator up-time.
  • Provide updates on technical aspects of maintenance and performance.
  • Maintain effective customer communications and relations.

About You:

  • You will have a good understanding of digital processing equipment, audio-visual equipment, PC, server, and associated LAN networks and systems, communication systems, and experience with Linux OS.
  • You will be able to work with management and other non-technical staff to achieve successful outcomes for the broader organisation.
  • You will have well-developed problem-solving, planning, and organisational skills.
  • You will be able to motivate and influence others.
  • You will have good self-motivation and the ability to work in a dynamic environment.
  • You will be able to learn quickly and adapt to changing conditions and customer requirements.
