Job Title: Cyber Security Specialist

Job Description

As a Cyber Security Specialist, you will play a critical role in protecting our IT systems and infrastructure from security threats and vulnerabilities.

  • Contribute to the development of response plans, policies, and procedures to safeguard our digital assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and assess information security environments for potential risks, providing recommendations to leadership and taking necessary steps to mitigate unacceptable threats.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their business needs and ensure alignment with cyber security standards.
  • Design and implement policies and procedures to resolve security issues and protect our information systems and infrastructure from emerging threats.
  • Develop options and solutions to data loss incidents and contribute to remediation and recovery activities.
  • Provide guidance and training to team members on cyber security best practices and recommended solutions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Possess extensive expertise in cyber security, with a strong specialization in implementing and optimizing data loss prevention strategies.
  • Hold tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or a related field, with a focus on cyber security principles and technologies.
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of cyber security frameworks, threat intelligence, vulnerability management, and incident response methodologies.
  • Exhibit experience with security technologies and tools, such as SIEM, DLP, EDR, CASB, and threat hunting platforms, as well as Microsoft security technologies like Compliance Manager, Sentinel, and Defender.
  • Display excellent organizational skills, problem-solving abilities, and interpersonal skills to engage and influence key stakeholders effectively.
