Job Overview

The Senior Director of Care Operations is a pivotal role within our organization, providing strategic leadership and direction for the effective management of in-home aged care services.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Supervise daily operations to ensure high standards of client care
  • Develop operational policies, procedures, and protocols to enhance client satisfaction while complying with regulations
  • Promote client safety, independence, and dignity through continuous quality improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and care teams to create tailored care plans
  • Recruit, train, and mentor staff to cultivate a skilled workforce
  • Promote a positive workplace culture that encourages teamwork and professional growth
  • Stay informed about aged care regulations and accreditation standards to ensure full compliance
  • Lead preparations for audits and assessments to maintain regulatory requirements
  • Monitor and assess care quality, implementing strategies for continuous improvement
  • Analyse data to identify areas for enhancement and best practices
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and manage resources effectively
  • Ensure cost-effectiveness while maintaining high-quality care
  • Foster open communication channels with clients and their families
  • Address concerns and feedback in a timely and compassionate manner

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Management, or a related field
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in managing aged care facilities or healthcare organizations
  • In-depth knowledge of aged care regulations, compliance, and accreditation standards
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills
  • An empathetic approach to resident care and staff management
  • Financial acumen and budget management experience
