Job Overview

The role of Pathology Technician requires a skilled professional to contribute to our Molecular department.

This position involves working in a multidisciplinary team providing a statewide testing service across Haematology/Oncology, Infectious Diseases and Public Health.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical assistance to Medical Scientists in the provision of diagnostic services.
  • Maintain high standards of technical work and laboratory cleanliness.
  • Apply conventional practices, methods and standards in Molecular Diagnostics.
  • Process specimens into the laboratory.
  • Handle general telephone enquiries with sensitivity and confidentiality.
Requirements
  • Hold an Associate Diploma from a recognised tertiary institution or equivalent qualification.
  • Ensure registration/licences essential for this role remain current and valid at all times.
