Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Pathology Technician to provide technical support in the provision of diagnostic services. The successful applicant will maintain high standards of technical work and laboratory cleanliness, while delivering exceptional results under general supervision.

  • Provide technical assistance to Medical Scientists in delivering diagnostic services to clients.
  • Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
  • Offer flexible out-of-hours technical support as required.
  • Apply established practices and methods in Molecular Diagnostics, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Process specimens, log results, and verify information accuracy with precision.
  • Handle telephone inquiries with sensitivity and confidentiality, maintaining professional boundaries.
  • Generate comprehensive reports, labels, and statistics as needed, meeting regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain chemicals, reagents, and consumables, minimizing waste and maximizing productivity.
Requirements

The successful applicant will hold an Associate Diploma or equivalent qualification, demonstrating knowledge and expertise consistent with qualifications recognized at Certificate III and IV level. Current registration/licences are essential, and it is the employee's responsibility to ensure they remain current throughout employment.
