The Purchasing Assistant plays a vital role in maintaining a well-stocked inventory and ensuring cost-effective procurements.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Purchasing Assistant. Key responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring stock levels and identifying purchasing needs, ensuring timely delivery and effective order management.
  • Researching potential suppliers and vendors to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Tracking orders and updating internal databases with order details, maintaining accurate records of invoices and contracts.
  • Evaluating offers from vendors and negotiating better prices when required, ensuring optimal value for money.
  • Maintaining updated records of invoices and contracts, liaising with warehouse staff to ensure all products arrive in good condition.
  • Sourcing new suppliers, local and overseas, to expand our network and improve procurement processes.
  • Assisting with development of new custom products, sourcing parts with suppliers and evaluating their quality.
  • Negotiating with existing suppliers for better pricing, maintaining price lists and optimizing procurement strategies.
