**Production Planning & Scheduling Manager**

A career opportunity has arisen for an experienced Production Planning and Scheduling professional to join our team in Cavan, Adelaide. This role will be responsible for managing production schedules, planning and delivering high-quality products on time.

Our client is a family-owned business with over 25 years of experience in the printing and packaging industry. They pride themselves on manufacturing high-quality cartons for various industries, including wine, food, and cosmetics.

The successful candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. The ideal candidate will have experience in production scheduling, planning, or estimating, preferably in the printing or packaging industry.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Liaising with sales and customer teams to update expected delivery dates;
  2. Managing schedules and planning with production based on customer requirements and expectations;
  3. Liaising with suppliers on incoming goods and raising supplier notifications;
  4. Aligning administrative and production processes to ensure timely customer deliveries;
  5. Running weekly meetings with department heads to communicate customer requirements and align priorities.

Additionally, the successful candidate will provide sales support by managing stock holding agreements, pricing, and forecasting. They will also manage client forecasts and pricing structures, as well as train new administrative staff.

Requirements:

  • Experience in production scheduling, planning, or estimating;
  • Experience working in the printing or packaging industry is advantageous;
  • Efficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, focusing on Excel;
  • Familiarity with estimating software (Dolphin) and accounting software (Attache);
  • Basic knowledge of ArtiosCAD is beneficial.
