The Opportunity

We are looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Coordinator in our Slabmaking team based in Port Kembla. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive mechanical knowledge to effectively coordinate maintenance activities and improvement initiatives.

This role is responsible for maximising uptime performance and maintaining and improving plant condition at minimum cost, whilst ensuring zero harm (safety and environment).

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and execute routine maintenance work and attend to plant mechanical challenges, while also coordinating trade personnel and contractors to deliver a cost-effective, quality-focused and flexible maintenance function to the BOS.
  • Supervise the day-to-day management of plant maintenance activities, including planning, organising, execution and review of maintenance.
  • Participate in cost reduction and capital upgrade projects.
About You

As an experienced mechanical maintenance coordinator, you will have sound leadership experience, work effectively in cross-functional groups, and thrive in a team environment.

  • Mechanical trade qualifications, or an advanced diploma in mechanical engineering.
  • Experience in the application of maintenance management systems and processes.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience.
