We are seeking a highly skilled individual to fill the position of Hospital Coordinator - After Hours Manager.

This is a part-time role, requiring 38 hours of work per fortnight. The successful candidate will provide clinical direction and operational management for after-hours staff, VMOs, and ensure clinical practice aligns with professional service values.

  • Coordinate patient admissions, staff and material resources to meet key performance indicators.
  • Act as emergency controller; authorize staff and maintenance contractor call-ins; provide clinical support.

This role requires strong leadership skills, including mentorship and coaching of team members, as well as advanced clinical competence and proven experience in clinical supervision.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent qualification, current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency, and postgraduate qualification in Leadership and Management (or willingness to complete).

They will also have a minimum of 3 years' experience in a senior leadership role in a large acute hospital environment and demonstrated high level organisational skills, problem solving ability, and computer literacy.

Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills are essential for this role, as is a passion for delivering quality patient-centred care.

Key Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent
  • Current AHPRA Registration
  • Postgraduate qualification in Leadership and Management (or willingness to complete)
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a senior leadership role in a large acute hospital environment
  • People leadership skills including mentorship and coaching of team members

  • Proven track record with the coordination and allocation of staff
