The right person will be an inclusive team member, who can provide a safe and stimulating environment for children, meeting their social, cultural, emotional, educational and physical needs. Key aspects of the job include:

  • Bringing values of connection, communication and consideration to life and reflect these in daily practice
  • Adhering to child safety policies and codes of conduct
  • Assisting with observations of individual and group children
  • Designing activities that cater to each child's strengths, weaknesses, interests and preferences
  • Developing programs that foster holistic development in children
  • Working effectively as part of a team and adhering to defined position descriptions

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

Ability to create a non-judgmental and caring environment for all children and families

Understanding of appropriate behaviors when engaging with children

Current valid Working with Children Check

ACECQA-approved Diploma or Certificate III in Children's Services, or working towards it

First Aid, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Certificates

Full working rights in Australia

This is our Templestowe centre, where we care for up to 45 children between six weeks and six years old. Our centre has two large playgrounds, edible gardens and sandpits, promoting nature-based play. We connect with our local community by inviting organizations like the Police and SES into our centre. To support families, we organize regular date nights and family breakfasts.
