About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Publications Specialist to join our team at The Boeing Company. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining high-quality technical publications that meet the needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain technical publications, including user manuals, guides, and other documentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that publications meet customer needs and are aligned with company goals.
  • Apply expertise in S1000D specification and XML text editors to create and update publications.
  • Manage Work in Progress (WIP) and ensure timely delivery of publications.
  • Develop and maintain illustrations as SVGs and ensure consistency in visual branding.
  • Manage program changes and updates, and ensure that publications are revised accordingly.
  • Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to ensure that publications are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Develop and maintain program plans, including update timelines, review periods, and engineering approval.
  • Manage outputs from engineering teams and ensure that publications are delivered on time.
Requirements
  • Experience with S1000D specification and XML text editors.
  • Ability to handle WIP management efficiently.
  • Proficiency in creating illustrations as SVGs.
  • Knowledge of revision/change management processes.
  • Strong collaboration skills to work closely with engineering and maintenance teams.
  • Ability to map program changes to tech pubs updates.
  • Understanding of program plans for update timelines, review periods, and engineering approval.
  • Excellent time management skills, including the ability to handle JIRA tickets efficiently.
