The Regional Coordination Lead role is a critical position within the NSW Government, responsible for driving place-based delivery of priorities across regional areas. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, with the ability to turn strategic objectives into practical outcomes.

About the Role

This role sits within the Infrastructure and Regional Coordination branch, where you will be responsible for coordinating regional efforts to support service delivery reform, managing whole-of-government programs, and providing strategic advice on regional issues. You will also lead a small team, build trusted relationships with regional stakeholders, and support executive and ministerial engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement regional initiatives that drive priority outcomes
  • Team Management: Lead and develop a dispersed team to deliver high-impact results
  • Program Delivery: Manage complex, multi-agency programs from planning to implementation
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build trusted relationships with councils, industry, Aboriginal communities, and local organisations
  • Communication & Problem-Solving: Drive collaborative solutions and navigate diverse interests
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Relevant tertiary qualifications are desirable
  • Driver's Licence: A current driver's licence is essential for regular regional travel
