About the Role

Craft and develop technical documentation for a leading financial institution on its major technology transformation.

We are seeking an experienced Technical Documentation Writer to support our client in this critical project.

  • The ideal candidate will translate complex technical concepts into clear, structured content to support stakeholder understanding and implementation.
  • You will develop high-quality artefacts including presentation packs, test guides, and detailed technical specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Simplify complex concepts into clear language and smart visuals to support stakeholder understanding of technical and functional requirements.
  • Create high-quality artefacts such as testing strategies, readiness guides, technical specs, and external-facing presentation packs.
  • Collaborate with SMEs and stakeholders to gather, review, and finalise content across cross-functional teams.
  • Ensure consistency and clarity across all documentation, aligning with internal standards and industry best practices.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years in technical writing and content creation with a background in creating technical content, document creation and presentation packs for external stakeholder audiences.
  • Strong capabilities with documentation and tools including Confluence, JIRA, Microsoft Office suite, SharePoint, and Visio.
  • Ability to translate complex technical information into clear, concise language for diverse audiences.
  • Attention to detail with commitment to producing accurate, consistent deliverables.
  • Some understanding of financial or regulatory frameworks.
  • Background in creating process diagrams and visual aids to enhance documentation.
  • Capability to assist with training by creating instructional content and facilitating knowledge transfer sessions.
