Reliable maintenance services are essential for ensuring the optimal functioning of modern manufacturing facilities. Pet Care Kitchen, a cutting-edge facility in Australia, is seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to join their team. Based in Parkes, NSW, this role presents an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to make a meaningful contribution to the production process.

The successful candidate will be responsible for working closely with the production teams to identify and rectify equipment malfunctions, ensuring minimal downtime and maintaining the highest levels of productivity. This will involve installing, monitoring, troubleshooting, and implementing design modifications to high-tech distributed manufacturing and process control systems.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Fault finding and evaluating breakdowns in control, electrical, and communications systems
  • Providing emergency repairs for production equipment during unscheduled shutdowns
  • Consulting with production personnel to determine equipment operating and maintenance needs, and performing routine and planned maintenance
  • Upgrading and expanding existing systems and features as required
  • Developing operating procedures, operating functions, fault, and troubleshooting guides, and updating drawings, circuit diagrams, IO listings, wiring schedules, network topologies, and PLC programs

All activities will be carried out in compliance with food manufacturing Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and all site and statutory safety requirements.

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate effective communication skills and the ability to participate in and contribute to a positive work environment. In addition, you will require:

  • A relevant qualification (Certificate III in Electrical Fitting; or Electrotechnology; or Engineering - Industrial Electrician or equivalent)
  • NSSW Electrical Licence
  • Experience with robotic devices or automation equipment would be highly regarded
  • Current Working at Heights ticket
