About the Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Clinician to join our North Queensland Suicide Prevention Response Service (NQ SPR) team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a dedicated professional to make a significant impact in providing high-quality, evidence-based interventions to individuals at elevated risk of suicide.
What You'll Do
- Deliver evidence-based interventions like CBT-SP and DBT, utilizing suicide prevention frameworks including Safeside, CAMS, and Suicide to HOPE.
- Perform risk assessments and develop practical, effective risk management plans.
- Provide rapid response to referrals from NQ stepped care service providers, acting as a care team partner to support both the consumer and professional partners.
- Enhance workforce capacity by upskilling other mental health professionals across the stepped care system in suicide prevention strategies.
- Build strong stakeholder relationships with healthcare providers, Hospital and Health Services, and other relevant organisations to develop robust referral pathways and service integration.
Your Skills and Qualifications
- Holds a tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or Mental Health Nursing, with relevant professional registration (e.g., AHPRA, AASW).
- Has expertise in assessing, diagnosing, and treating mental health disorders, particularly within suicide prevention frameworks.
- Is committed to fostering inclusive, culturally sensitive care, especially for First Nations People and priority populations.

Salary Range: The estimated salary range for this position is around $80,000 to $110,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
