Job Title: Senior Support Associate

About the Opportunity

We are seeking expressions of interest from individuals to fill a position supporting residents in our Residential Aged Care facilities.

As a Senior Support Associate, you will make a genuine difference where it is needed. You will be responsible for assisting residents with daily personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.

You will also help with mobility, including transferring residents from bed to chair, assisting with walking, and using mobility aids safely.

Additionally, you will support residents with feeding, ensuring proper nutrition and hydration, and assisting with special dietary needs.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with medication reminders and supporting residents in taking prescribed medications under the guidance of a nurse
  • Providing companionship and emotional support, fostering a caring environment for residents
  • Helping maintain a clean and safe living environment by assisting with light housekeeping tasks
  • Assisting with organizing and engaging in activities that promote physical, emotional, and cognitive well-being

You will respond to residents' requests in a timely and professional manner, following care plans as outlined by registered nurses and healthcare professionals.

Maintaining confidentiality and respect for residents' privacy, dignity, and personal preferences is essential.

You will adhere to safety protocols, including infection control procedures and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

About You

To thrive in this role, you will have:

  • Relevant certificate III or IV qualifications in Aged Care
  • First Aid and CPR Certification

Required evidence includes:

  • NDIS Clearance and valid police check
