DevSecOps Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled DevSecOps Engineer to join our team. As a DevSecOps Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining continuous integration pipelines, security controls, monitoring solutions, and supporting software deployments.

You will ensure all software products are secure, reliable, and compliant with client requirements. You will leverage your experience in virtual environments, containerisation, Infrastructure as Code, and security automation to drive secure innovation at scale.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, container technologies, artifact repositories, scripting skills, and Linux/Unix systems. They will also have knowledge of monitoring and observability tools, ASD Essential 8, ISM, and database administration.

In this role, you will play a strategic role in driving secure innovation at scale, influencing architecture decisions, and championing a security-first mindset across teams. You will have the opportunity to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, evaluate emerging technologies, and help evolve our DevSecOps maturity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain CI pipelines, security controls, monitoring solutions, and supporting software deployments.
  • Ensure all software products are secure, reliable, and compliant with client requirements.
  • Leverage experience in virtual environments, containerisation, Infrastructure as Code, and security automation.
  • Mentor teams of engineers, ensuring the adoption of DevSecOps best practices and principles.
  • Collaborate with software engineers, security specialists, and operational teams to embed security best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Australian Citizenship and eligibility to hold an Australian Defence Security Clearance.
