Senior Research Associate in Mining Engineering

The role of Research Assistant Professor is available for a dedicated individual who wishes to contribute to the research effort of UNSW. The successful candidate will be expected to develop their research expertise through the pursuit of defined projects relevant to their particular field of research.
This position offers a unique opportunity to join a dynamic research team and collaborate with experienced researchers on high-impact projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mining engineering and a proven track record of research experience.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct independent or collaborative research in mining engineering, focusing on enhancing the quality of research outcomes in the discipline area of mining equipment development and safety technologies.
- Develop and implement research projects under the guidance of a research leader, contributing to the development of research activities.
- Support the dissemination of research outcomes through appropriate channels and outlets.
- Participate in and/or present at conferences and/or workshops relevant to the project as required.
- A PhD in Mining/Safety/Mechanical Engineering or related areas.
- Proven commitment to proactively keeping up to date with discipline knowledge and developments.
- Demonstrated capability in mining equipment/product design, development, and testing, with experience in mechanical systems, industrial product development, or safety-related technologies.
- Demonstrated track record of publications and conference presentations relative to opportunity.
- Evidence of highly developed interpersonal skills.
