Child and Youth Care Specialist

We are seeking Child and Youth Workers to join our team in Mount Gambier, providing quality care and support to children and young people in our residential care program.
Key Responsibilities- Provide care, guidance, and support to children and young people in a safe and nurturing environment.
- Work collaboratively with the team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Manage risk and ensure the safety and well-being of children and young people.
- Provide opportunities for children and young people to experience success and realize their potential.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, carers, and other stakeholders.
- Meet the Department of Child Protection qualification requirements or be willing to complete the Certificate IV in Child, Youth & Family Intervention within 12 months of commencing employment.
- Demonstrated ability to work within a model of trauma-informed intentional practice.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the effects of trauma and abuse, attachment issues, and the ability to provide individualized trauma-responsive care.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and as part of a team.
