Job Description
  • Take charge of rewriting flagship Flutter applications into high-performance systems and drive the development of web platforms that deliver seamless user experiences.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and integrate APIs, ensuring robust architecture, state management, and performance across mobile and web platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead technical direction for architecture, state management, and release automation.
  • Develop and maintain production-grade applications, balancing speed, safety, and maintainability.
  • Implement responsive, accessible interfaces with crisp performance, smooth animation, and thoughtful micro-interactions.
  • Define and implement state management, caching, offline/async patterns, and error handling to ensure resilient experiences.
  • Integrate REST/GraphQL services, shape schemas, and versioning, and own authentication flows and secure data handling.
  • Establish continuous integration, automated testing, crash reporting, logging, and telemetry to measure quality.
  • Harden performance through profiling, bundle/runtime optimizations, image/asset strategy, network efficiency, and startup time.
  • Drive release automation for mobile and web platforms.
  • Lead design/architecture reviews, mentor engineers, and document standards to ensure scalability.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering or equivalent real-world experience delivering production apps.
  • 5+ years building customer-facing applications, including taking at least three complex apps from refactor/rewrite to production.
  • Proficiency in Flutter & Dart or equivalent strength in TypeScript + React/Next.js.
  • Deep understanding of state management, async/data flow, and architectural patterns.
  • Strong API integration experience (REST/GraphQL), auth (OAuth/JWT), and secure storage/networking practices.
  • Testing mindset across the board, comfortable owning CI/CD pipelines and release tooling.
  • Proven performance and accessibility chops, with a focus on measurable user-perceived quality.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with experience mentoring and setting engineering standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Native iOS/Android experience, with expertise in release automation and store operations.
  • Knowledge of Next.js/NestJS, Node, GraphQL schema design, and server-side rendering.
  • Experience with observability tools, experimentation platforms, and feature-flag platforms.
  • Background in healthcare, aged-care, or privacy-sensitive domains.
