We are seeking an experienced professional to join our highly regarded Digital and IP team in Brisbane. This role involves supporting senior Partners and the broader national Digital and IP team on a wide range of matters, including technology and IT agreements, data protection and privacy, competition and consumer issues, intellectual property, and general commercial matters.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Tech Law Expertise: Experience in technology, data protection, privacy, intellectual property, competition, consumer, and commercial matters is essential.
  • Commercial Contracting: Exposure to complex commercial contracting, major IT procurements, outsourcing, as-a-service arrangements, and technology commercialisation projects is preferred.
  • Collaborative Work Environment: Ability to work closely with private sector and government clients, as well as experienced Partners, is required.
Requirements:
  • Professional Qualifications: Experience as a lawyer or Senior Associate in a front-end commercial TMT practice within a mid-to-large commercial firm is essential.
  • Commercial Skills: Strong commercial, drafting, and technical skills with the ability to provide clear, practical advice are required.
  • Client Relationships: Ability to build strong client relationships and work effectively both independently and collaboratively is necessary.
  • Emerging Technologies: Passion for technology, data protection, privacy, intellectual property, and emerging issues in the digital and TMT sectors is essential.
