Job Title: Research Officer

Role Overview:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting research on various topics, providing well-researched advice to senior management, and evaluating programs and initiatives within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough research on external and internal issues affecting the organization, with a focus on high-risk offenders in a domestic and family violence (DFV) environment.
  • Provide soundly based and defensible advice to senior management on DFV-related issues, ensuring that recommendations are evidence-driven and effective.
  • Evaluate existing programs and initiatives, consult with other areas of the organization on evaluation practices, methods, and approaches, and monitor policing practices, strategies, and initiatives at local, state, national, and international levels.
  • Assist in reporting on the efficiency, effectiveness, and applicability of policing practices and initiatives to the organization.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in a relevant field, such as social sciences, criminology, or law.
  • Proven research experience, with a strong track record of producing high-quality research outputs.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and develop well-supported conclusions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
