Job Title: Senior Research Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Research Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting research to support the delivery of high-level strategic direction, service-wide reforms, and operational advice.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate programs and initiatives related to domestic and family violence and vulnerable persons
  • Monitor and review policing practices, strategies, and initiatives at state, national, and international levels
  • Undertake research into external and internal issues affecting the QPS regarding domestic and family violence and vulnerable persons
  • Provide well-researched advice to senior management on efficiency, effectiveness, and applicability of policing practices
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to contribute to enhanced service delivery in the area of domestic, family violence, and vulnerable persons
Requirements:
  • Relevant degree level qualification with a significant focus on research and/or evaluation
  • Ability to work with sensitive and graphic material
