About the Role

The Disability Reform team provides strategic advice on key disability reform initiatives, including implementation of recommendations from the Disability Royal Commission.

As a Senior Advisor, you will play an important role in supporting disability reform in Queensland. Key responsibilities include:

  • Establish productive networks and maintain relationships with stakeholders
  • Prepare briefing materials, correspondence, submissions, papers and reports on related activities
  • Develop and implement statewide policies, guidelines and practices
  • Support regional and school-based personnel to deliver programs and strategies
  • Ensure effective communication, integration, coordination and liaison occurs within the Division and across the department

  • High-level writing skills and analytical abilities
  • Well-developed conceptual skills and ability to present complex concepts clearly
  • Ability to work as part of a small team to produce results
