Role Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Plant Operator, working on projects across Cairns and surrounding areas. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for operating heavy machinery, ensuring efficient workflow, and collaborating with colleagues to deliver high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate heavy equipment, such as excavators, bulldozers, and dump trucks, to assist in bulk earthworks and services
  • Work on civil construction projects, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements
  • Assist site labourers with tasks as needed, promoting teamwork and effective communication
  • Perform daily pre-start checks and regular vehicle maintenance to ensure optimal machine performance

Requirements

  • Current HR driving license
  • Relevant machinery tickets
  • Industry White Card
  • Sound oral, written communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Effective time and workload management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Confidence to work unsupervised or in a team environment
  • Full Australian working rights
