Key Responsibilities

  • Develop high-quality software for mobile applications on the Android Development platform, automating manual processes and participating in code reviews.
  • Design and perform sophisticated testing activities to reveal product quality and coach team members to do the same.
  • Evaluate and resolve development or production issues, effectively communicate the impact to stakeholders, and proactively participate in incident responses.
  • Contribute to engineering standards and frameworks, working closely with Lead and Principal Engineers to apply standards to software and delivery processes.
  • Maintain, grow, and share knowledge of development technologies used in the development of software applications.
  • Deliver infrastructure in a production environment, championing automation of delivery processes and ensuring all software runs as expected.
  • Be a proactive champion of agile and delivery practices, coaching and developing others in this space to ensure a consistent approach to ways of working.

Requirements

  • A strong advocate and teacher of TDD and automated tooling to safely and repeatedly release code.
  • Proficient with CI/CD concepts and tooling.
  • Ability to make major code design decisions for individual products.
  • An eye for detail and passion for good UI/UX.
  • Expert command of Android Studio IDE.
  • High coding standards and an emphasis on testing.
  • Experience in developing software that is secure, performant, and scalable.
  • Experience with agile methodologies.
  • Kotlin proficiency.
  • Knowledge and experience working with MVVM and clean architecture patterns.
