Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Enrolled Nurse to join our Urgent Care Service.

The successful candidate will provide high-quality nursing support and ensure all patients presenting to the service receive appropriate care in collaboration with the Registered Nurses (RN).

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional patient care for injuries or illnesses in collaboration with RNs.
  • Perform various care activities, including history assessments, administering medications, wound care, plastering, and patient education.
  • Ensure patient care activities align with policies and procedures.
  • Support patient services, including greeting and assisting patients, monitoring appointment books, and registering updates as required.
  • Offer guidance on inclusion and exclusion criteria over the phone as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and well-stocked clinical area, completing administrative tasks such as billing, coding, and scanning documentation into patient files.
  • Provide comprehensive documentation in all patient files.
  • Participate in workplace health and safety practices, reporting incidents and hazards promptly.

About You
  • A current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse is essential.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Emergency settings, focusing on acute injury and illness management, and fast-track patient flow.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle escalations, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
  • A passion for patient-centered care and a personable approach.
