About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a seasoned Financial Accountant to become a vital part of our Corporate Finance division. This position is integral to our operations and involves collaborating with both local and international finance teams.

Reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller, you will provide essential support on various commercial, financial, tax, and risk management matters that affect the organization.

Your success in this role will depend on your ability to engage effectively and respectfully with senior stakeholders to drive favorable business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the coordination and execution of the annual financial reporting compliance program for the Australian Group, ensuring adherence to IFRS standards.
  • Compile comprehensive reports related to taxation, banking, financing, and business relationships for designated Group entities.
  • Design and implement internal control processes and accounting policies across the Group.
  • Oversee the management of the Group's insurance coverage and claims processes.
  • Administer the Group's foreign currency hedging strategies.

Candidate Profile:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience in group consolidation, statutory reporting, and corporate taxation.
  • Background in commercial accounting, preferably within FMCG, manufacturing, or a comparable sector.
  • Expertise in managing business insurance, risk programs, and corporate foreign currency exposure.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing capabilities.
  • The ability to collaborate effectively across various functions within the organization, both locally and internationally.
  • A keen attention to detail and a methodical analytical mindset.
  • A degree in accounting, business, risk management, or a related field.

While not mandatory, possessing a CA or CPA qualification and experience with international business operations will be advantageous.
