Restaurant Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Restaurant Manager to lead our team and oversee the daily operations of our restaurant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service, managing staff, and maintaining high standards of food quality and cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all operational aspects of the restaurant, including front-of-house and back-of-house operations
  • Supervise staff, provide training, and ensure high performance
  • Ensure the highest standards of customer service and resolve any issues or complaints
  • Oversee stock management, place orders, and maintain inventory levels
  • Work with chefs and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow and food quality
  • Plan new menus and special dishes with chefs
  • Create and manage the restaurant's budget, analyze financial data, and improve profitability
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract new customers
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food regulations
  • Monitor restaurant cleanliness, hygiene, and maintenance standards
  • Handle daily administrative tasks such as payroll, performance reviews, and reports

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience in restaurant management or a similar leadership role
  • Diploma or higher in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and multitasking abilities
  • Experience in managing restaurant operations and teams
  • Knowledge of Chinese cuisine or Asian hospitality will be highly regarded
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in managing budgets, inventory, and staff rosters
  • Passion for customer service and creating memorable dining experiences
