About the Grid Connection Manager Role:

This is a senior-level position within our company that involves leading and supporting the end-to-end grid connection process for various renewable energy projects. The role requires strong technical expertise, stakeholder management skills, and experience in engaging with relevant industry bodies.

The successful candidate will have a degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, along with 7+ years of experience in renewable energy with a focus on grid connection. They should be familiar with relevant tools such as PSSE, PSCAD, or PowerFactory, and have a good understanding of the National Electricity Rules and regulatory frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the grid connection process from feasibility to financial close and handover.

  • Develop and implement strategic plans for grid connection design and project optimisation.
  • Evaluate project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Provide technical input and support to internal teams across development, engineering, and delivery.
  • Liaise with stakeholders, including industry forums and policy consultations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • 7+ years' experience in renewable energy with a focus on grid connection.
  • Strong technical knowledge of grid connection modelling tools.
  • Familiarity with the National Electricity Rules and regulatory frameworks.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
