About the Role

The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) is seeking two Fixed Term Full Time Physiotherapists to join our Physiotherapy Department for a 12-month graduate year program. This exciting opportunity is part of our Paediatric Rotation Program (PRP), which offers new graduates the chance to develop their skills and experience across a wide range of clinical specialties.

As a Physiotherapist in this role, you will provide evidence-based physiotherapy services to children and adolescents as part of a multidisciplinary team. You will work in close collaboration with medical, nursing, and allied health staff to ensure that physiotherapy services are innovative, evidence-based, and provided in a child and family-centred context.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide evidence-based physiotherapy services to patients referred by designated units in collaboration with supervising clinicians
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure delivery of a holistic, streamlined approach to care that best meets the needs of the patient and their family
  • Work in a flexible manner and participate in other duties as allocated, consistent with skill level to ensure adequate cover and clinical care across the whole Physiotherapy Department service
  • Achieving and maintaining competency in relevant skills in line with departmental requirements relevant to the role
Requirements
  • Hold a Physiotherapy degree qualification from an accredited course/university and registration to practice as a Physiotherapist with AHPRA
  • New graduates should have successfully completed placements in large hospitals with high acuity caseloads
