AML Risk Management Specialist

As a leader in anti-money laundering operations, you will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity of our business.
The AML Operations Lead – Process & Quality will be responsible for designing, documenting, and continuously improving our anti-money laundering processes to ensure they meet regulatory requirements and deliver high standards of risk management and customer experience.
This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional with a proven track record in AML operational leadership to join our team and contribute to our mission of protecting our customers, business, and community from financial crime.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement effective AML processes that minimize risk and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Develop and embed a robust quality control framework to monitor and improve AML operations.
- Monitor quality performance, analyze trends, and drive remediation and uplift activities to enhance overall AML capabilities.
- Design and deliver training programs to uplift role-specific expertise and team engagement, promoting a culture of ownership, compliance, and excellence.
- Represent AML Operations in audits, reviews, and cross-functional initiatives to drive strategic alignment and collaboration.
- Proven AML operational leader with a strong track record of delivering high-quality results in AML/CTF, financial crime, or similar fields within a highly regulated industry.
- Deep knowledge of Australian AML/CTF frameworks, sanctions, and operational best practices.
- Strong capability in process design, quality frameworks, and performance reporting, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Tertiary qualification in a financial crime, business, or commerce-related discipline (postgraduate study desirable).
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, with confidence working across risk, compliance, and business teams.
