Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Water Quality Specialist to join our team.

This role is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you will be responsible for providing best practice Environmental Monitoring services to clients.

Main Responsibilities
  • Install, service, operate and maintain automatic environmental monitoring stations with a focus on accuracy and quality.
  • Collect and verify data from these stations using computer software packages before supplying it to clients.
  • Maintain accurate record keeping including field observations and calibrations.
  • Undertake flow measurement in rivers, creeks and drains.
  • Conduct manual sampling activities from surface water and groundwater sources.
  • Project management, client liaison and correspondence.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience in environmental monitoring or hydrography.
  • Tertiary qualification in environmental science, water resources or similar.
  • Proficiency in data acquisition and hydrographic software applications.
  • Project management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Self-motivated and able to adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Able to perform manual handling tasks in various outdoor conditions.
  • Current manual car driver's licence.
  • 4WD experience.
  • Familiarity with health, safety and environmental aspects of field work.
  • Ability to swim.
