Software Development Position

nCino is a cloud banking leader offering exciting career opportunities.

This role involves collaborating with the software engineering team to design, develop, and test complex software systems or applications for enhancements and new products, including cloud-based tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support product refinement processes by creating tickets and analyzing development work.
  • Familiarize yourself with architectural decisions made by the team and understand their reasoning.
  • Engage in brainstorming sessions to propose innovative ideas and solutions.
  • Participate in proof-of-concept implementations and prototypes used to gather feedback and make informed decisions.
  • Effectively communicate complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences in written and verbal formats.
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and break down complex tickets, identifying dependencies across teams and epics.
  • Contribute to Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) process, including Automated Testing and enhancing testing coverage.
  • Understand adoption and release barriers for products and technologies.
  • Collaborate with PMs and teams to develop strategic launch and release plans with cross-functional teams.
  • Promote end-to-end collaboration to bring solutions to market and support go-live activities.
  • Analyze product adoption and apply solutions to improve the customer journey.
  • Play an active role in addressing system hygiene and producing high-quality code.
  • Mitigate future hygiene issues by adhering to coding standards and staying up-to-date with technology trends and best practices.
  • Encourage continuous learning and define personalized learning paths for career growth.
  • Handle complex tickets independently and collaborate with the team to drive continuous improvement.
  • Increase expectations in quality code review processes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field with 2+ years of experience/proficiency or equivalent combination.
  • Knowledge of software design principles, development tools, technologies, and domains.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language.
  • Experience with web application development.
  • Strong understanding of software engineering best practices, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, and testing.
  • Ability to collaborate professionally and respectfully.
  • Proficient knowledge of code versioning tools like Git.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with client-side JavaScript frameworks like Angular, React, Knockout, etc.
  • Agile software development experience.
