Public Area Attendant Job Description

 

Job Title: Public Area Attendant

 

This role involves maintaining the high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation across all internal and external public areas. As a Public Area Attendant, you will be responsible for ensuring that every area is well maintained, clean and safe.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring the appearance of the property and its grounds are of the highest standard
  • Cleaning and maintaining all internal and external public areas, including corridors, lobbies, lift lobbies, stairwells, bathrooms, changing rooms and any other designated areas
  • Using specialized equipment and chemicals to clean and sanitize all surfaces and floors
  • Providing excellent service to residents by responding to their queries and requests in a timely and professional manner
  • Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of storage areas and supply cupboards

 

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role or equivalent qualifications
  • Physical fitness and ability to work at heights (if required)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Availability to work overnight shifts during the week and on weekends
  • Reliability and punctuality
  • Valid Australian work rights
