Asset Inspection Opportunity
">- Job Overview:
This role is focused on proactive inspections of public assets for safety and increased lifespan.
The successful applicant will have relevant experience in a similar role, be certified from a recognised Playground Inspector course, and hold a full Victorian licence.
They will also be a go-getter that can work alone while keeping their direct report up-to-date with their actions.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Proactive inspections of public assets for safety and increased lifespan.
- Routine inspections for the purpose of fault identification and maintenance program development.
- Some repairs of playgrounds, sport fields, irrigation systems, street furniture and open space programs.
- Delivering inspections and associated works across the shire.
- Office time for data entry and reporting, then ordering and/or fixing identified issues.
- Being part of a small, dynamic team, there are also myriad day-to-day challenges to help keep the wheel of the bigger Parks and Gardens team turning.
- Developing the role as needed.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Reporting directly to Manager's Name.
- Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Relevant experience in a similar role.
- Certified from a recognised Playground Inspector course.
- Full Victorian licence.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Highly organised and able to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Results-oriented and proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with data entry and reporting software.
- Ability to develop and implement effective solutions.
- Strong business acumen and understanding of local government operations.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures.
- First aid qualification.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
- Remuneration begins at $74K to $77.2K (Band 4) plus superannuation.
