Public Asset Inspector

As part of our proactive asset management strategy, this role focuses on inspecting public assets to ensure safety and extend their lifespan.
About the OpportunityRoutine inspections identify faults and inform maintenance program development, as well as repairs to playgrounds, sports fields, irrigation systems, street furniture, and open space programs.
A typical day involves delivering inspections and associated works across various parts of the shire. Some office time is spent on data entry, reporting, ordering, and/or fixing identified issues.
You will work in a small, dynamic team that encounters diverse day-to-day challenges contributing to the success of the Parks and Gardens department.
This is a permanent, full-time opportunity with fortnightly RDO. The remuneration package begins at $74K to $77.2K (Band 4) plus superannuation.
About YouThe successful applicant will have relevant experience in a similar role, be certified from a recognised Playground Inspector course, and hold a full Victorian licence. They will also be a go-getter who can work independently while keeping their direct report informed of their actions.
Proven hands-on skills and a willingness to develop the role are highly regarded.
